Have you just received your custom press-ons and are ready to wear them? Follow our guide on how to best adhere your nails!

 

1 - Preparation

Step 1: Start with clean & dry nails. Remove any previous nail polish or nail enhancement otherwise this may compromise the longevity of your press-on nails.

Step 2: If your natural nails are long, cut and file them to a shorter shape. This ensures that you won't see your natural nails when wearing your press-on. 

Step 3: Gently push back your cuticles with the wooden cuticle stick

In between these steps, double check that each press on nail fits comfortably on your nails. If a nail is slightly too big, use a nail file to gently file the sides & cuticle area of the press on for a perfect fit. Brush off any remaining dust.

Step 4: Lightly buff the surface of your nail plate with the buffer to remove the nail's natural shine.

Step 5: Remove dust, oils & debris from your nails by wiping the surface with an alcohol wipe (ensure you do not touch anything once this step has been done).

 

2. - Application

Do not rush application as this can result in your press ons falling off. It is recommended to start your application from the pinky finger on your dominant hand to give you better control when applying. It is best to apply these before going to bed to allow the product to dry & adhere properly. Avoid water for 2-3 hours after application.

 

Sticky Tabs (Short term wear)

Step 1. Place the sticky tab sheet over your nail to determine which tab fits your nail the best & covers the entire surface.

Step 2. Peel off the correct individual tab and apply it to your nail (ensure it is flush). Once applied, remove the protective backing

Step 2.5 *OPTIONAL*. Use a hair dryer to heat up the tab for 10-15 seconds)

Step 3. Align the press-on at your cuticle area on a 45-degree angle. Press down evenly on the centre of the nail to apply.

Step 4. Press down firmly and hold in place for 30-90 seconds, allowing the sticky tab to secure.

Step 5. Repeat steps 1-4 for every finger.

Step 6. Store the sticky tabs away for future use.

 

Nail Glue (Longer term wear)

Step 1. Apply a drop of nail glue onto your natural nail plate & a drop onto the press-on nail. Avoid adding too much glue & avoid flooding the skin with glue as it is extremely strong.

Step 2. Align the press-on at your cuticle area on a 45-degree angle. Press down evenly on the centre of the nail to apply.

Step 3. Press down firmly and hold in place for 30-90 seconds, allowing the glue to set

Step 4. Repeat steps 1-3 for every finger.

Step 5. Store the glue in a ziplock bag to avoid spillage & to use in the future. 

 

TIPS FOR YOUR PRESS ONS!

• It is recommended that you avoid contact with water for up to 3 hours after adhering your press ons for best retention!
• Always carry extra glue/sticky tabs for emergencies.
• Avoid prolonged periods of exposure to hot water.
• Your nails are jewels, not tools. Use gloves when cleaning and don’t use your nails to open products.
• Do not pull off your press on nail as this can cause damage to the nail plate.
